University of Scouting

What is it? 

The University of Scouting is the largest supplemental training course offered by Great Trail Council to Scouting volunteers at all levels. During this fun-filled day, experienced volunteer leaders will present programs to help you improve your skills and expand your knowledge. You will also meet other leaders, gather new resources, and share ideas on building the best possible program for your Scouts. 

Create your own experience 

The program is designed to allow you to create your own customized experience. You can choose any available course to arrange a curriculum perfect to your function and level of experience in Scouting. Select the courses you would like to attend within you registration.  You can choose courses from any of the categories. 

Choose your courses for the day from the  following colleges:

Cub Scout College
Scouts BSA College
Venturing College
Universal Scouting College
Commissioner Courses
General Studies College


You can take Position Specific Training:

Basic Commissioner Training (D20)
Cubmaster and Assistant Cubmaster Specific Training (C40)
Den Leader and Asst Den Leader Position Specific Training (C42)
Pack Committee Member and Committee Chair Position Specific Training (C60)
Scoutmaster/Assistant Scoutmaster Specific Training (S24)
Venturing Leader Specific Training (P21)
Crew Committee Training 

Or get certified with CPR Certification
